Fighter Toy

This is a 14-week VFX project showcasing the full pipeline in semester 3.

This shot aims to demonstrate a pyro smoke and RBD simulation, using a toy fighter as the main object.

Storyboard

Additional story elements were added before and after the explosion to enhance its narrative justification.

“While the class is in session, one student secretly prepares to cause chaos. With a mischievous grin, he uses his smartphone as a remote controller to activate a small fighter-jet model. It lifts off gently, but within seconds it accelerates uncontrollably and blasts across the room. The jet slams into the whiteboard, streaking past the professor who is in the middle of teaching.”

Test Shot

Due to the challenging nature of the shot, conducting a rough previsualization in advance was essential for planning.

Pre-vis

First completed previs.

Following Jorge’s suggestion, the shot of the fighter explosion was modified to fit the story more seamlessly.
